Out On A Limb Tree Surgery are Hertfordshire based Tree Surgeons specialising in all forms of tree trimming and pruning with a proven track record for professionalism, reliability and competitive pricing.
If your trees are out of control, a tree trim from our professionals may be all that’s needed. Tree trimming is essential, particularly when a tree grows very large.
There are a few techniques we use to control tree growth, depending on what results the customer wants to achieve:
Tree Shaping – This is for customers who just want to have their trees and shrubs shaped so they are more aesthetically pleasing or in keeping with their environment.
Tree Pollarding - Pollarding is a pruning system where the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches. Crown reductions control the height and spread of a tree whilst maintaining a suitable size for its environment.
Tree Thinning – This technique involves carefully selecting branches to remove which are either weak or overgrown. By thinning trees, more sunlight is able to penetrate through, improving both the trees health and the soil below, improving the nutrients to the tree itself and in doing so helping to prevent disease.
Tree Cleaning – This process should be carried out periodically to maintain the health of trees. Our tree surgeons will remove any dead or diseased branches that could cause further damage to the tree if left untreated.
Crown Lifting – This technique is performed by trimming the lower level branches of a tree, effectively lifting the canopy to free up space underneath the tree, which can in turn provide more space for vehicles and buildings etc.
Hedge Trimming - We are fully equipped to take on all sizes, shapes and species of hedges with care and attention for perfect results.
Tree and Shrub Maintenance - Professional, considerate pruning. Regular pruning increases the useful life and aesthetic value of such trees, shrubs and plants.
Garden Clearance - Complete clearance of overgrown shrubs and trees. Site cleared ready for replanting or landscaping.
